Scandinavian Folk Dances

The oldest traditional folk dance of Norway is known as "Bygdedans". These folk dances are generally performed by couples and named after the  regions, or villages of Norway and Sweden, the Scandinavian countries . These dance forms are also called Scandinavian Folk dances. The dances are very popular and performed in  all social occasions because they are very nostalgic, easy to learn and inherently  known by the Scandinavian people. There are mainly five varieties of "Bygdedans" namely Springar , Pols, Gangar, Halling and Rull.
